Overland Park, Kansas is home to Johnson County Community College and the University of Kansas Edwards Campus.  School Districts are as follows:  Blue Valley District#229, Shawnee Mission #512 and Olathe #233. There are two public golf courses:  St Andrews Golf Club at 11099 West 135th Street and Overland Park Golf Club at 12501 Quivira Road. There are currently two community centers, Overland Park Community Center located at 119th and Lowell and the Tomahawk Ridge Community Center located at 119th and Lowell.  A brand new Community Center is scheduled to open in the fall of 2007 at 8101 Marty in old downtown Overland Park. The Overland Park Arboretum and Botanical Gardens is located at 8909 W. 179th just west of Antioch. A very special attraction is Deanna Rose's Childrens Farmstead.  There are farm animals, birds of prey, flower and vegetable gardens, one room country school house, a fishing pond and horse drawn wagon rides and pony rides. The Overland Park downtown Farmers Market was voted best Market in Kansas City.  It is open from April to October.
